Because I was the business owner (pre-seo):
That's when I realized I didn't want to do it the way it's always been done. I didn't want to work inside an agency world that treated a brand's values as something to work around instead of something to build the strategy on. So I didn't.
Believing in something better doesn't mean you have to opt out of marketing entirely. You just have to do it differently. And that's what I'm doing.

- Googling ‘SEO’ at midnight
- Losing entire days to YouTube rabbit holes with no real answers
- Networking with agency bros that talked at me like I was a-cute-little-girl-asking-questions instead of a peer who might actually know something.
That's when I realized I didn't want to do it the way it's always been done. I didn't want to work inside an agency world that treated a brand's values as something to work around instead of something to build the strategy on. So I didn't.

As a female independent SEO consultant I’m a woman in tech, surrounded by a sea of bros. Lots of patagonia vests. Based in Chicago with my partner and TWO emotional support cats.
One of the said ESCs (Cat Perkins) isn’t really pulling her weight. So it’s mostly me and Max in a co-dependent relationship. (Max is my other cat, not my partner). A black long-haired barn cat with black beans, black nose and black whiskers.
As a no-sabo(ish) Latina I’ve been learning Spanish since I met my husband was born. And when I’m not trying to become bilingue I can be found eating (tacos and jibaritos), spending as many Fridays at the beach as possible and gatekeeping the hell out of Chicago.

This includes creating custom seo strategies, increasing search visibility, improving online sales, and helping brands show up in AI tools and overviews.
